You have a presence on LinkedIn…so, why doesn’t your business? Creating a company page might sound like just another task that will grow your to-do list. However, with the abundance of advice out there, creating a company page on LinkedIn is quick and simple. Not only is a company page simple to develop, but it also has a number of benefits. So, here are a few reasons why you need a company page on LinkedIn…
Business-focused Content
On your personal page, you might not want every post to be business related. After all, you want to be perceived as a human, right? I’m not saying you should never post about business on your personal, but, if you have a company page, guess what… You can use it to post all of your business content; whether it’s company updates, new services/products, advice or events. Posting consistent business content on your company page also means that your audience and potential customers are always up to date with the latest news about your company.
Build Trust
Having a company page on LinkedIn is a great way to build trust with your audience. You will have the opportunity to fill in a number of details about your business, including where you’re located, how many employees you have and who the employees are, etc. All of this information makes your business more credible and encourages your audience to engage with your content/get in touch with you. The content that you put out is also a helpful way to build trust, as you can post pictures of your workplace, portray the culture of your company and even post about employees; putting a face behind the company.
Branding
If you want to build your brand, you need a company page on LinkedIn. If you think about it, you are exposing your brand to a number of people, including your target audience, competitors and skilled individuals in your industry. You might be thinking…do I want to be seen by my competitors? The answer is: absolutely! If your company page is followed or visited by other companies in your field, it shows that you’re one to watch and on their radar too… Also, growing your brand on your company page gives you the opportunity to attract potential employees. A well-made company page paired with a job posting is much more attractive to skilled workers than a simple job posting.
So, if you were feeling unsure about whether you should build a company page on LinkedIn, I hope this has helped you to see that it’s worth it. If you build a company page, you will soon wonder why you didn’t do it sooner!
