Though events can be social and frivolous affairs, they also have the potential to be both informative and productive experiences- especially when it comes to LinkedIn Events. But you can’t show up to a party without an invite, right? You definitely can’t roll up to a party if you didn’t know it was happening. That’s why it’s so important that you know how to find a LinkedIn Event that’s right up your street. 

‘Parties are lame, why would I want to find and go to one anyway?’

Even if you’re too cool to go to any old, run-of-the-mill party, LinkedIn events are on another level. 

Attending a LinkedIn event can help you learn more about an important aspect of a business. Additionally, it can offer an opportunity to network with other people within your industry which could be extremely valuable. 

If you’re looking for something to give you a one-up over your competition then it might be worth finding some LinkedIn events that could benefit your professional growth.

Finding events through LinkedIn search

• At the top of the LinkedIn homepage, click the Search Bar and enter a keyword of your choice.
• The keyword/s could be a concept you’re interested in, such as Thought Leadership or Hiring Diversity.
• If you know the exact name of the event, you could search for that instead. 
• Click See all results and you’ll be taken to a page of all content linked to those keywords.
• Click the Events bubble to filter so only the related events from your search results appear. 

Recommended Events by LinkedIn

Unsure what events are worth your time? If you’re looking to better yourself through LinkedIn events, it could be difficult to know where to start. That’s why LinkedIn has a Recommended Events Feature where they’ll recommend upcoming events based on your interests, pages you follow or the events your connections are attending. 

You may not even realise that an event is up your street until it lands itself in the LinkedIn Recommended Events section of your profile. You can invite your connections to join you at the event or share it directly to your profile through a LinkedIn post.
