In this article, I will show you a simple LinkedIn sales routine you can follow that will help you sell more online and grow your business every day.
A simple half-hour routine each day will give you better results for your time on LinkedIn.
Reaching more people, getting better conversations and booking more meetings and discovery calls all through LinkedIn.
So let’s get started…
Getting Into a Routine
Routine is how we manage to get results.
Planning on getting healthier, you go to the gym, eat more nutritious meals maybe cut out drinking alcohol and smoking.
When you go in without a plan, you end up doing one of two things, not getting started all because you forget or you do it all at once.
Going to the gym every day, eating salads for lunch or going cold turkey.
That’s not to say it’s wrong to do, sometimes you need that kick to get started.
It’s better than putting it off.
But without a routine, you’ll push yourself too hard and burn out, or slowly end up going to the gym when you feel like it and cooking healthier meals when you remember.
Routine is the foundation of consistency and consistency is one of the most important factors when it comes to success in life or business.
This is why life coaches and business plans talk about small goals, that lead to bigger goals.
Those small goals give us wins and help motivate us when things slow down. It helps us stay on track and be consistent.
Basically, this routine won’t work if you try it for a couple of days on and off, you need to build your empire so to speak.
Now let’s get into the routine that will help you make more sales on LinkedIn.
Starting Your Day
The first thing we all do in the morning is look at our phones.
Turn off the alarm, check the time and maybe scroll through the feeds.
Now imagine everyone doing the same thing and you’ll have millions of people looking online at once.
Picture your prospects waking up, rolling out of bed, grabbing a coffee and seeing your content.
They give your post a like and the same thing happens tomorrow, then the next day, and so on.
It’d be great, they would get to know you, and what you’re about and if your content is carefully constructed you can weave in the value of working with you.
When you finally talk online or face-to-face they will feel like they already know you.
The ice the broken, and there is no guard up.
So the first thing to do in the morning is post.
Grab your phone, log into your computer and write your post.
15 minutes of your morning with a cup of coffee.
You can even schedule LinkedIn posts now so you can spend an hour scheduling a list of posts for your whole week.
All you would need to do is follow the likes or comments you get.
Growing Your Network
The next step of your routine is growing your network.
You’re pushing out content, but you want people in your network who can see that content and you can talk to straight away.
Someone in your network likes a post and it gets pushed to their connections, so the larger your network the more potential reach you have.
You shouldn’t just blindly connect with everyone who likes your posts or appears in your recommended connections, it could be people who provide the same product or service as you.
They aren’t going to buy, just like from time to time.
Create a profile of what your ideal client looks like and search for them on the platform targeting 2nd-degree connections.
Instead of connecting straight away, like a post, leave a comment.
If they have no content, check their activity to make sure they’re active.
Do this with a least 5 people per day and after a couple of days send them a personal invitation.
Start with 5, move up to 10 and so on.
As long as you’re getting into the routine of connecting with your prospects consistently.
Start Two-Way Conversations
Finally, you need to start a two-way conversation with your prospects.
There are multiple ways to start a conversation that feels natural, and one of the best ways you’ll already be doing, which is by posting content.
You post content that has a purpose and your prospects will comment and start a conversation.
You can turn this into a conversation in the DMs by continuing the conversation.
Even better when your content is about a topic where you are the expert or a pain point your service solves.
But please make it a conversation and not a pitch.
How can anyone respond naturally to a block of text filled with calls-to-actions, emails and too-good-to-be-true promises?
Be Consistent
Now this all may seem like a lot, but it’s really a fraction of your day in the morning.
Half an hour of your morning to post, connect and engage.
Then once and a while in the day you can message, start a conversation with a prospect and take it further.
It’s a simple routine that builds your brand, brings in prospects and grows your business.
