Filter and Search Messages on LinkedIn

Even with the best intentions, sometimes things can get a little overwhelming and cluttered. Could be your desk, could be your calendar, but one thing is for sure, and that is that Clutter can often equal confusion. Can’t find that important note that someone left you? Did it have a vital piece of information that you can’t remember for the life of you? Wouldn’t it be so convenient if your desk had a way to filter and search through its contents?

Some pinewood search bar maybe? Well at least there is an efficient way to Filter and Search Messages on LinkedIn. How? I hear you ask. It is really quite simple and it can save a lot of time and hassle when neck-deep in LinkedIn messages. Here is the step-by-step guide on how to Filter and Search Messages on LinkedIn

Filtering Messages on LinkedIn

Click Messaging at the top of your LinkedIn profile.

Click the Filter icon on the left rail.

A drop-down list will appear and you can now choose how you’d like to filter your messages. 

You can filter by
  • All Messages
  • Archived
  • My Connections
  • Unread
  • InMail
  • Spam

Once you’ve selected your filter you can then search through your messages.

You can also search for messages by keyword or recipient in the Search bar located above your message list. Type in a name or even just a keyword of the conversation you are looking for and it will be much easier to find what you are looking for.
