What is LinkedIn Premium?

LinkedIn is a brilliant platform to connect with like-minded professionals and grow your business. At its base level, LinkedIn offers its users a vast array of options that make networking easy and effective. However, there’s always room for improvement.

If you’re a frequent LinkedIn user (and you should be) then you have probably been suggested LinkedIn Premium a number of times. Up until now, you’ve simply ignored the suggestion but, let’s be honest, you’re curious.

So, what is LinkedIn Premium?

The point of LinkedIn premium is to further personalise your LinkedIn experience. There are multiple premium options to choose from such as:

  • LinkedIn Premium Business
  • Sales Navigator
  • LinkedIn Recruiter Lite/LinkedIn Recruiter

Premium expands your networking and learning options. Essentially, it is exactly what it says on the tin. It’s LinkedIn but Premium! If you want to achieve better results and get the most from your LinkedIn experience then LinkedIn Premium is a must.

The option to go Premium helps people on both sides of the LinkedIn scale. Job seekers are able to maximise their chances of landing that dream job. After you have applied for a job, the free version of LinkedIn offers you basic insights into the progression of your application.

With Premium, the insights you gain a much more valuable.

You can find out if recruiters or hiring managers are interested in you before even applying for the job. You will be able to see who is viewing your profile and have an InMail option to message them directly without being connected. LinkedIn will use the skills information from your profile to rate jobs on a scale from 1 to 5 so you know how closely this job matches your profile. Overall, LinkedIn Premium saves you a lot of time and effort in the job-hunting process.

Headhunters are much more likely to find the perfect fit for their vacancy with the elevated communication options LinkedIn Premium offers. Premium streamlines the hiring process to more efficiently find top-quality talent. Beyond this, however, LinkedIn is also a brilliant place to learn. Of course, you can learn from the people in your network but the platform itself offers courses for Premium users.

If you’re the type of person who wants to squeeze everything out of every experience and opportunity then it’s time to give Premium a try.
