Accessing the “Who Viewed Your Profile” Feature

Knowing who’s viewed your profile on LinkedIn is an insightful and important feature. It provides you with an advantage to start building worthwhile relationships and connections. If an individual has viewed your profile, it’s likely that they’re interested in you or what you may have to offer. There’s nothing stopping you from reaching out and seeing if they’d like to connect! It could also be that a potential employer has viewed your profile, wouldn’t that be a brilliant insight to have? However, being able to access this feature, depends on what kind of account you have…

LinkedIn “Basic” Free Account

If you only have the free account option on LinkedIn, you are more limited to what you can see. If you have set your profile viewing options to display your name and headline when viewing profiles, you’ll see the 5 most recent viewers in the last 90 days, as well as a list of suggestions for increasing your profile views.

You’ll be able to find out:

  • Where your profile viewers work.
  • Where they found your profile.
  • Their job titles

Although this is valuable information, having a premium account offers a lot more insight on who’s viewing your profile…

LinkedIn Premium Account

When you have a premium account, you can see:

  • The entire list of viewers from the past 90 days &  viewer trends and insights.
  • Weekly viewer insights.
  • The number of viewers from the past 90 days, along with a percentage of increase/decrease of viewers since last week.
  • A graph with weekly viewer trends.
  • Their names (unless they’re in private mode).
So, we know the differences between a free and premium account, but how do you access who’s viewed your profile?
  • Firstly, you press the “Me” icon and then “View profile”.
  • You then go to the “Who viewed your profile” from your dashboard.

It’s as simple as that…

Whatever type of account you’ve got, checking out your views is a must on LinkedIn. Not only does it enable you to grow your connections with like-minded people, it also allows you to see what kind of companies have come across your profile. If you’re eager to network, this feature is definitely for you!
