Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Itโs time to create your first newsletter on LinkedIn. When it comes to increasing engagement on LinkedIn, the newsletter feature is a great way to do this. Not only does it give you the opportunity to demonstrate your industry expertise, but it is also another piece of content you can share both on and off LinkedIn for people to follow. LinkedIn members can subscribe to your newsletter and be notified whenever you post a new article.
So, how do you create a newsletter on LinkedIn?
- Click โwrite an articleโ at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
- Click โcreate a newsletter.โ
- Add a title, description and a logo then click โpublish.โ
Now you have a LinkedIn newsletter. Sounds simple enough, right? Thatโs because it is! Like many of the tools LinkedIn offers, once you know how to get started, anyone can use them to increase their engagement. The real work starts with creating unique and engaging articles that will keep your audience coming back for more.
When you are happy with the layout and look of your newsletter, you are ready to publish your first article. The thing to keep in mind about your newsletter is that it will be a place your audience will use for updates on whichever topic you have chosen to write about. So, itโs a good idea to make sure that the topic you choose is not just one you know a lot about but one you are passionate enough about to create consistent content for.
When you are ready to publish your article, a couple of things will happenโฆ
- A small menu will pop-up asking if you want to add hashtags, any mentions, comment about specific aspects of your article or ask questions for your readers to answer.
- Once your first article is published, a page for your newsletter will be created with an overview, your LinkedIn profile info and a list of your published articles.
- By default, your connections and followers will be automatically invited to subscribe to your newsletter via notification.
Now you know everything you need to create your newsletter on LinkedIn and start publishing articles. Even if you are buzzing with ideas, you can only publish articles every 24 hours so your audience has a good amount of time to engage with one before you publish the next. You donโt have to post one every day but posting consistently and around the same time will let your audience know when to expect a new article and make them more likely to engage with it.
